The choices we make shape our experience of life. Your health, happiness, education, career, and relationships are the result of all the decisions that you’ve taken in the past. We can relate to this pretty well but we still make poor decisions or choices without considering or realizing the consequences.
Sometimes, making a decision can be overwhelming. It’s like a mental tug of war between ‘yes’ and ‘no’. This can be frustrating and affect the decision you make. You may end up in a state of indecision which itself is a decision.
The truth is that we cannot have everything in the world. We, therefore, need to prioritize what we want. You can’t have a lazy lifestyle and an athletic body.
Poor decision making can hurt you. Sometimes, you might make a decision to please others but that would be a compromise with your self-worth and values. You would end up in a situation where you don’t get what you want.
Such decisions might consume your time unnecessarily and you might need even more time to restore things. We might miss out on great opportunities that we might regret during the later stages of life.
