Emotional intelligence is the ability to know, understand, use, and manage your own emotions positively. It helps in relieving stress, communicating effectively, empathizing with others, overcoming challenges and solving conflicts. With higher emotional intelligence you can build robust relationships, succeed at and work, and achieve your career and personal goals.
Rahul, an employee in a multinational company was on a performance improvement plan. It meant that he would be fired if his performance didn’t improve in the next six months.

He was a team leader. His performance would be judged based on how his team would perform. Despite overworking, his performance couldn’t improve. He used to often vent out his frustration on his wife and kids. This had a drastic impact on his work-life balance.

Upon investigating further, we found out that he was a victim of self-doubt and often used to question his abilities. He didn’t know much about his team members apart from their professional roles and hence lacked social awareness. He also felt that he wasn’t being understood by his peers and family.

All of this was a result of unstable emotions. We worked on developing his emotional intelligence and helped to get a promotion in six months. Want to know how we did it? Click on the Video below
